Athletic News:

Both volleyball teams played a hard fought battle against Cato-Meridian.

JV won 2-1. Breanna Hoke had 2 kills, 2 digs, and 5 aces. Maddie Chouinard had 1 assist, 1 ace, 2 digs, and 3 kills.

Varsity started the game being down 2 sets. But with blood, sweat, and tears - they were able to come back to win the game 3-2. Kaitlyn Baker had 7 kills, 11 digs, and 2 aces. Polly Hansen-Rodriguez had 11 kills, 13 digs, 3 aces, 3 assists, and 3 blocks. Cameron Cleveland had 14 kills, 20 digs, 2 aces, 1 assist, and 2 blocks.

An exciting night for both volleyball teams. Great job, ladies!

Both Waterville Modified and Varsity Football teams had season opening wins last night in Waterville. The modified team started with a 54-0 win over Westmoreland. Reece Mosher, Nolan Dunlay and Andrew LaFrance all helped the defense secure the shutout and Nolan Dunlay had a point-after-touchdown conversion.

Varsity had a night of their own with a 41-8 win over New York Mills. Chase Wyant Smith contributed to the defensive swarm with recording two of the eight sacks and Ryan Moser got some his football debut. Thank you to those from Hamilton who came and showed support!

JV Boys soccer won Thursday against Adirondack 4-0. Raphael Juarez began the scoring, followed by Parker Matson and Jude Page Fagon in the first half. Thomas Roy scored the fourth and final goal to seal the win. Assists go to Gavin Olney, Tyler Jacobsen, Jude Page Fagon, Ryker Jones and Trent Murray who also made 3 saves at keeper.

The Girls Varsity Soccer Team defeated Herkimer 5-0 in their home opener.

sophomore goalkeeper Ellie Freeth earned her 3rd shutout behind the defense of sophomores Abbey Hope and Sicily Catania, seniors Adey Catania and Kate Simpson, and Junior Rihana Dye The attack was led by senior Reagan Hope’s 2 goals and 1 assist while junior Claire Filipowicz added her first goal of the season. The team would like to congratulate the Volleyball team on their thrilling 5 set comeback win last night!
