Anyone who is interested in participating in Chess club please stop by room 222 (upstairs across from the Library) to sign up on the form. Please make sure you indicate if you will need the late bus. We will be meeting on Wednesdays again, our first meeting is to be determined.

Anyone who is interested in HIGH SCHOOL Tech Club, come TODAY, Tuesday, during HS lunch to Dr. Helfant’s Room 218. We will discuss what Tech Club would like to work on this year in terms of Newsreels and anything else tech related.

MIDDLE SCHOOL Tech Club will meet for the first time this coming Monday, October 7 during MS lunch in the same room. Anyone in MS will be welcome to attend and check out whether this club is for you.

There is a Jr. FFA meeting Thursday in Mrs. Chamberlain’s room during MS lunch. Jr. Leadership team needs to join Mrs. Chamberlain Wednesday during MS lunch to plan the agenda.

Attention ALL FFA members, apples & cheese money and order forms are due this Thursday to Mrs. Chamberlain or Mrs. Bossard. All money MUST be accounted for.

Freshman class officers, there will be a meeting on Thursday during high school lunch in Mrs. Freeth’s room. Please make sure to attend!

There is a Sophomore class meeting Wednesday during HS lunch in the art room! Please be there to discuss hallway decorating, pep rally, and fundraising!

There is a Senior class meeting Thursday during lunch in room 117. We will be discussing the Homecoming Dance and Spirit Week. Please plan on attending and bring lots of ideas!

There is a high school student council meeting at lunch today in Mr. Jones’ room. We will be discussing spirit week and the blood drive. Please see Mr. Jones if you are unable to attend.

Mr. Darrow’s Physics class AND Lab will be in his regular classroom today.

Athletic News:

Volleyball defeated OnTech 3-0 last night. Polly Hansen-Rodriguez had 2 assists, 1 dig, 8 kills, and 7 aces. Cameron Cleveland had 2 assists, 4 digs, 5 aces, 9 kills, and 1 block. Pyper McEwan returned to the court for the first time in 11 months with 2 kills and 9 aces. The team scored a total of 36 aces for the night. Great job, ladies!

The volleyball teams ask that you wear pink tomorrow in school before our Dig Pink game tomorrow night.

Last Friday, the Morrisville-Eaton varsity field hockey team handed Little Falls their first loss of the season with a decisive 3-0 win. Ryan Verbitsky stepped up to the center halfback position on defense and played an excellent game. The Mavericks now have an 8-1 record and travel to Clinton this afternoon in a key Class D match-up.

The Girls Modified Team Competed against the “Mascotless” Canastota team last night. With a hard fought battle and 2 overtime periods, the game ended with a 2-2 tie. Scoring for the team was Annnalee Shoemaker & Lila Sharp-Ballinger. The team's record now stands at an impressive 5-0-1.

JV Soccer traveled to Clinton Monday evening and took their pitch with a gritty 4-2 win. Rafael Juarez began the scoring with a 60 yard run and finished with an assist to Tyler Jacobsen. Parker Matson won a PK and finished the play with a goal from the spot. In the second half Thomas Roy scored with a rip off the post on an assist from Jude Paige Fagon. Jude Page Fagon scored the final goal with an assist from Parker Matson. Roy also added an assist and Elijah Meyers was welcomed back and commanded the box with four saves. A great team win as everyone played their roles well.

The Girls Varsity Soccer got back to its winning ways with a victory over cross town foe Waterville. Ten different Emerald-Knights scored or assisted on the night, with both Sophomore Eve McCorkle and Senior Rhiannon Murray with the brace (that’s 2 goals a piece). Senior Chloe LaFrance played playmaker with 3 assists and Junior Logan Langel scored and tallied 2 assists.

One goal/One assist came from Senior Reagan Hope, Senior Lexie LaFrance and Freshman Morgan Carhart. Sophomore Kristen LaFrance and Junior Rihana Dye added goals and Freshman Polly LePage added an assist. The defense recorded their 7th shutout of the year.
