There is a Senior Class Meeting TODAY during lunch in room 117. We will be making plans for the Homecoming Dance and Spirit Week. All seniors are asked to attend.

Anyone who is interested in participating in Chess club please stop by room 222 (upstairs across from the Library) to sign up on the form. Please make sure you indicate if you will need the late bus. We will be meeting on Wednesdays again, our first meeting is to be determined.

There will be a middle school student council meeting on Tuesday October 9th at lunch in room 110. Any student in grades 6-8 is welcome to attend.

Seniors - an admissions representative from Colby College, a private liberal arts school located in Waterville, ME, will be visiting HCS today at 8:30am. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to find out more about the programs offered. See Ms. Inman if you are interested!

Juniors attending the SUNY College Fair at OCC need to get your completed medical forms returned tomorrow! If you need another form, please stop by the Counseling Office. There are still many of you who have not turned in your forms, please get them in!

Middle School Students! Masquers is having auditions for Frozen, Jr. next Monday the 7th and Tuesday the 8th! The audition sign up sheet is in the Masquers Google Classroom. If you need to be added to the classroom email or see Mrs. Moren to be added, or if you have questions.

There is a workshop for the Frozen Jr. Auditions this coming Saturday, October 5 in the auditorium from 3-5 pm. All are welcome!! Come learn the songs, the lines and the dance auditions!!

Athletic News:

The Girls volleyball teams would love to share their appreciation for everyone who wore pink, made donations, or came out to support our teams play last night. They were honored so many people came out to support breast cancer awareness. The teams made over $1200 to donate to Oneida Women’s Health Associates for research & treatment of breast cancer.

Last night, the Emerald Knight Cross Country team competed against Sherburne-Earlville, Waterville, Canastota and Little Falls. Although it was a dreary, cool fall afternoon, Hamilton athletes demonstrated perseverance and skill. Leading the girls team was Julia Peck in 7th place followed closely by Cora Loranty in 8th place and Liliana Hagos in 11th place for the girls. Matt Berry led the boys team by securing 2nd place and he also recently broke into the top 100 athletes for Class D New York State. Congrats to Matt! He was followed by Gavin Moshier in 12th place and Andrew Holm in 15th. Both teams are looking forward to competing in the Whitesboro Invitational this Saturday.

The JV Boys soccer team traveled to Adirondack Wednesday evening and came out with a wet, drizzly win 6-1. Goals were scored by Carlo Aman Burns, Lucas Morkevicius, Thomas Roy, Jude Page Fagon, Parker Matson and Gavin Oney with his first career goal on a dazzling give and go with a cut back finish into the side netting. Assists went to Gavin Oney, Parker Matson, Ryker Jones, Lucas Morkvicius and Jude Page Fagon. Elijah Meyers had three saves, one assist and took a pk. A great team win!

The Girls Varsity Soccer scored 6 - 2nd half goals and the defense of Kate Simpson, Sicily Catania, Lexie LaFrance and Rihana Dye allowed 1 shot to secure Ellie Freeth her 8th shutout of the year. The upperclassmen dominated the pitch and the underclassmen benefited on the score sheet. Sophomore Kristen LaFrance scored the 1st two goals, Freshman Polly LePage scored and assisted twice, Freshman Morgan Carhart scored and assisted, Sophomore Eve McCorkle and Junior Claire Filipowicz scored and Junior Logan Langel added an assist.
