Hey Seniors - a representative from St. Bonaventure University will be visiting HCS today at 8:15am. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the programs they have to offer. Stop by the side rooms off the HS Library to meet with Bella at 8:15. Please see Ms. Inman if you would like a pass! Tomorrow we will have a representative from Utica University visiting at 9:30am and a representative from Tompkins Cortland Community College at 10:30.
There will be a middle school student council meeting today, October 8th at lunch in room 110. Any students in grades 6-8 are welcome to attend.
Looking for a mentor for weekly adventures? Students in 5th through 12th grade can now participate in the Friends First Colgate Student Mentoring Program. This program offers weekly adventures filled with fun activities, crafts, and group events designed to engage and inspire students. Look for the QR code outside the Counseling Office door to sign up.
Anyone who sold apples and cheese please be sure to arrange a ride for this afternoon, you will need to collect your apples and cheese from the ag room. Please be sure that you aren’t taking orders without checking in with Mrs. Bossard or Mrs. Chamberlain. All orders must be picked up and delivered today. People like their cheese curds squeaky!

Art Club will begin one week from today! Our first meeting will be after school on Tuesday, October 15th in the high school art room. Art club is an Open Studio time for students to work on independent and collaborative art projects for grades 6-12. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Kowalski.
The Freshman Class will be holding a Can and Bottle Drive to raise funds for their class on Saturday, November 2nd from 10-12pm in the HCS parking lot. You drop them off, the freshman class sorts and counts! Please consider bringing your cans and bottles to help out the freshman class.
Students planning to take the PSAT should sign up in the Counseling Office and make sure your $18 fee is turned in by October 16th.
Seniors - SUNY’s Free Application week is set for October 21st through November 3rd. The Free Application week allows you to apply to 5 different SUNY campuses for free! This can be done through the Common App or SUNY app. Please see Mrs. Pustay with questions.
Juniors who have handed in their medical form, today is our field trip to OCC for the SUNY College Fair. Please be ready to depart HCS immediately after forum today. We will return by lunch time.

Auditions for Frozen Jr. are on again today! They start at 3:00 today in the LGI. It is not too late to sign up!! Stop by Mrs. Morens room to sign up and grab an audition packet. We have fun!

The modified boys soccer team beat Remsen yesterday by a score of 3-1. Scoring for the Knights was Liam Darrow, Thomas Jackson, and Julius Smith. Charlie George added an assist in the effort. The Knights had a great defensive game, and Iain Dosanjh racked up six saves in the win. Great job, guys! Practice today from 3-4:15.
The boys’ varsity soccer team added another win last night, beating Mater Dei 3-0. Gavin Hames had one goal and one assist, along with Gavin Snyder and Luke Langel who each had one goal. Teddy Freeth had one assist. Cooper Roy made three saves to earn the shutout. The team plays again on Friday, and will be honoring its seniors before the game.
