Athletic News:
Last night the cross country team ran at Clinton in a six-school meet. In a race that was less about speed and more about survival, Matt Berry took a brisk jog in the chilly rain, finishing 10th with a time of 18:56. His secret weapon? A personal ice bath courtesy of Mother Nature! Hot on his heels, Gavin Moshier cruised in at 24th with a time of 22:17.5-proving that slow and steady wins the battle against hypothermia. And: Gavin managed to keep his shoe laces tied!
For the girls, June Loranty dazzled in 5th place with a valiant effort of 22:34, likely wondering if the finish line was also a warm cup of cocoa. Meanwhile, her sister Cora trotted in closely behind at 12th place with a time of 25:03.7, contemplating whether her sneakers would double as a flotation device in this downpour.
And in a delightful twist of team spirit, the Clinton squad took the opportunity to recruit a Hamilton parent for team photos. Because nothing says "we're in this together" quite like borrowing a photographer from the competition!
In summary: it was a race filled with laughs, a few shivers, and enough cold water to qualify for a polar plunge.
Senior night for the boy’s soccer team will take place on Friday, October 11th at 5:00pm prior to the game. Please come out and support the seniors and team!
