Permission slips are due today if you are attending the Mathletics meet tomorrow. Please meet in the lobby by the weight room at 7:50 AM. Bus will leave promptly at 7:55. We will return at about 12:15 PM.

Hey Seniors! On Tuesday, October 22nd, FOUR colleges will be visiting HCS. Admissions Reps from St. Lawrence University, University of Rochester, Syracuse University, and Le Moyne College will be here to share info, answer your questions, and help you figure out your next steps. This is your chance to get the inside scoop-don’t miss it!

SUNY is excited to bring back FREE Application Week! Beginning Monday, October 21st, students can apply to up to five SUNY campuses with no application fee! This includes all campuses, no matter which application vehicle you use. Details are available at www.suny.edu/apply.

If you are taking the PSAT next Wednesday, please stay after forum to complete a digital readiness check on your computer.

There will be a high school student council meeting during lunch today. Please be sure to attend as we will be discussing the pep rally in the afternoon.

There is a ‘paper sign up’ for winter sports. If you have not already signed up in PE please be sure to do so soon. THIS DOES NOT REPLACE THE DIGITAL SIGN UP through the parent portal.

Congratulations to Bre Craven for winning the New York State FFA Talent Competition last May, which qualified her for Nationals, and join us in wishing her the best of luck as she travels to Indianapolis, Indiana to compete in the National FFA Convention next week! She will be competing in numerous talent events starting Tuesday, Oct. 22nd! Good luck, Bre!

Athletic News:

Yesterday afternoon, the modified boys soccer team traveled to Remsen and beat the Rams by a score of 3-1. Scoring for the Knights was Liam Darrow, Lukas Sirtoli, and Ryan Houck. Charlie George picked up one assist, and Iain “Mudman” Dosanjh picked up 11 saves on a marvelous evening in net. The team plays Poland at home this afternoon at 4:30. Come out and support this talented group!

Last night, volleyball ended their regular season with wins on the road against Hannibal.

JV dominated with a 2-0 win. Ellie Olsen had 2 kills, 4 digs, 1 ace, and 2 assists. Zaida Ostrander had 2 kills, 2 digs, 8 aces, and 5 assists. They end the season with a record of 11-4. Great job, ladies!!

Varsity also defeated Hannibal 3-1. Cameron Cleveland had 8 kills, 16 digs, 1 ace, 1 assist, and 4 blocks. Alivya Packer had 2 kills, 6 digs, 3 aces, and 28 assists. Brooke Dunlay had 5 kills, 9 digs, and 3 aces. Varsity ends their regular season with a record of 13-3. Keep an ear out for playoff details in a week. Fantastic job, ladies!!
