High School Students have been invited to participate in the Colgate University ALANA Cultural Center’s 4th annual Social Justice Summit, scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025. This year’s theme Shaping Equitable Communities and Sustainable Just Environments, will have participants interrogating the variety of ways we can contribute toward positive change. The deadline to register is Tuesday, January 28, 2025. The $20 dollar registration fee has been waived for high school students!

Attention Middle school students!
Today you will take the Math exam SIMULATION in the morning. This is just a short test to make sure equipment and programs are working and you are familiar with how the actual test day will go.
Sixth grade will report to either Mrs. Chamberlain, Ms. Zogby or Ms. Marhefka’s room. See your teacher if unsure where to go. Make sure to bring your charged chromebook.
7th and 8th graders: Most students will report to the cafeteria at 8:10 am with a charged chromebook. Please go to your cell 1 class first, then report to the cafe at 8:10.
Athletic News:
The Varsity Girls Basketball team improved their record to 11-3 Monday night with a 66-33 victory over Dolgeville. Leading HCS was Logan Langel with 26 points, Rhiana Dye with 12 and Reagan Hope with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Special recognition to Reagan Hope who recorded her 500th career rebound last night for HCS. Great job girls.
The JV Girls Basketball team beat Clinton Monday night 45-37. Leading HCS was Pyper McEwan with 17 points, Sicily Catania with 9 and Polly LePage with 8. The JV record now stands at 11-0. Good win girls.
The 8th grade boys basketball team defeated Sherburne-Earlville 30-22 on Monday night to improve to 4-0 on the season. After leading 7-4 at the half in an incredibly defensive game, the team went on a big run in the third to take a 22-11 lead. Alec Toomath led the offensive charge with 6 of his team high 8 points in the third, with Liam Darrow adding 5 of his 7. Julius Smith, Ryan Houck, and Brayden Nagel all pitched in with 4. Great help defense was played by the entire team. Great win boys!
On Monday, The 7th grade boys basketball team improved to 4-0 with a 36-34 win vs. Sherburne-Earlville. Brent Baker and Lukas Sirtoli led the team in points (10) with Owen Mullenax (8), Charlie George (3), Louie Child & Thomas Jackson (2) and Neel Devray (1) chipping in. Team defense was again the difference, as the team stopped S-E on their final possession to seal the victory.
