High School Students have been invited to participate in the Colgate University ALANA Cultural Center’s 4th annual Social Justice Summit, scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025. This year’s theme Shaping Equitable Communities and Sustainable Just Environments, will have participants interrogating the variety of ways we can contribute toward positive change. The deadline to register is Tuesday, January 28, 2025. The $20 dollar registration fee has been waived for high school students!

Last weekend, over 65 students in 5th and 6th grade orchestras across Madison County participated in the All County Festival at Oneida High School. Two of our own 6th grade HCS students, Cia Duclos and Mia Pennington, were selected to be part of that orchestra and they put on a fantastic concert. Congratulations to you both!

High school students, don’t miss the semi-formal Winter Ball this Saturday, January 25th from 8 to 10 PM in the cafeteria. Admission is $15 single and $25 couple, no need to purchase tickets in advance, just pay at the door. Athletic News:
Last night the Girls Basketball Team improved their record to 10-3 with a 46-41 victory over Frankfort-Schuyler. Leading Hamilton was Logan Langel and Reagan Hope with 14 points apiece. Congratulations to the girls on a hard fought win.
The JV Girls Basketball Team improved to 10-0 with a lopsided victory over Frankfort-Schuyler. Leading HCS was Pyper McEwan with 24 points and Izzy Catania with 11. Polly LePage chipped in with 7. Good win girls.
Last night the boys varsity basketball team defeated McGraw 71-35. Leading the Knights was Drew Baker with 23 points and Caleb Neuenschwander with 20. The team plays again on Thursday at Waterville at 7pm.
The boys JV basketball team won against McGraw last night, 48-31. Leading was Gavin Oney and Dom Dye with 12 points each. The team plays Waterville tomorrow at 5:30.
