The Fitness Center will be open next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:45 - 3:30 pm! If you are interested in using the weight room please stop by the main office for a waiver. The waiver must be completed and turned in BEFORE you can use the weight room. A new waiver must be completed each year.

8th graders: The 9th Grade Course Request Forms you began in class yesterday are being distributed by your homeroom teacher this morning. Please bring these home to review with your adult(s) and return the signed forms to the Counseling Center by Monday, January 27. Don’t forget to bring home the High School Program Guide as well to help explain courses and diploma requirements.
Attention Sophomores! Sophomore meetings are being scheduled to begin on Monday, January 27th, and continue until February Break. Please check your email for your meeting invite, you’ll also receive a pass in forum. Be sure to check into your IWT or other class before heading to the Counseling Office for your meeting. If you can’t find your appointment or need to reschedule, stop by and see Ms. Inman.
High School Students have been invited to participate in the Colgate University ALANA Cultural Center’s 4th annual Social Justice Summit, scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025. This year’s theme Shaping Equitable Communities and Sustainable Just Environments, will have participants interrogating the variety of ways we can contribute toward positive change. The deadline to register is Tuesday, January 28, 2025. The $20 dollar registration fee has been waived for high school students!

High school students, don’t miss the semi-formal Winter Ball this Saturday, January 25th from 8 to 10 PM in the cafeteria. Admission is $15 single and $25 couple, no need to purchase tickets in advance, just pay at the door.
Athletic News:
The 8th grade boys basketball team improved to 2 and 0 on the season last night with a 53-22 win over Oriskany. Liam Darrow led all scorers and the balanced HCS scoring attack with 12 points, followed by Alec Toomath with 7. Nolan Dunlay, Reece Mosher, Isaac Alfonso, and Ryan Houck all pitched in 6 each, while Noah Harris and Alex Oney pitched in 4 each. Great team win boys! Today’s practice will end at 4:15.
The 7th grade boys basketball team is 2-0 after a 37-26 victory over Oriskany yesterday. Charlie George and Brent Baker led the scoring attack and Louie Child, Lukas Sirtoli, Thomas Jackson, Owen Mullenax, Neel Davray, and Wes Penoyer added buckets. Team defense continues to be the difference, keep working together to get better.
