HS Tech Club meets today during HS lunch in Room 218.

NHS officers only: We will meet after school today to begin planning for the blood drive.

Attention band and orchestra students: it is an orchestra lesson week.

Middle School and High School Chorus Only students should report to the auditorium today with a charged Chromebook and headphones during class time. Chorus students who are also in Band or Orchestra who are scheduled for chorus today should report to either band or orchestra rehearsal.

Attention all music students: If you wish to participate in the NYSSMA solo festival, your fees are due by this Friday, February 14th. Please see your music teacher for the amount of your fee. This is a firm deadline. No fees will be accepted after Friday February 14th.

Jazz band will meet after school today until 3:30

The junior class will be selling Valentine’s Day Grams during both middle and high school lunches through Wednesday this week. The cost is only two dollars each, so be sure to buy some for the special people in your life!

Art club will meet during middle and high school lunch this Thursday, NOT after school this week. Sorry!

Reminder that tomorrow's spirit day is anything but a water bottle!

Counseling News:

Attention 8th and 9th grade students: individual meetings have been scheduled with Ms. Torre (8th) and Mrs. Poyer (9th) beginning after break and continuing the first few weeks of March. You will be receiving a pass in forum, however we ask that you please check in with your regularly scheduled IWT or class before coming down to the Counseling Center for your meeting. Please see Ms. Inman if you have any questions.

Hey Sophomores! All meetings with Mrs. Poyer will wrap up by the end of this week. Please check your calendar for your meeting invite, and you will also receive a pass in Forum. Please report to your IWT or Class prior to coming to your meeting. Please see Ms. Inman with any problems.

Attention Middle and High School Students: If you’re finding a class challenging and feel like some extra help could make a difference, we are offering the opportunity to work with a Colgate student tutor! This is a great way to get personalized support and boost your confidence in the subject. If this is something you would be interested in, please scan the QR code on the poster in the main office or counseling office, or click the links to complete the Google form: grades 6-8 grades 9-12. Please note: Even if you completed a form last semester, you will still need to complete the new form for this semester.

Attention High School Students: a representative from Madison-Oneida BOCES will be here Thursday, February 13th to discuss the CTE and New Visions programs available for the 2025-26 school year. Sophomores will stay after Forum to learn about the CTE programs, while Juniors will be called down after the first presentation to learn about the available New Visions programs. In addition, 9th and 10th grade students will have the opportunity to visit a BOCES program beginning in March. Sign ups will begin after break and continue on a weekly basis through the end of March. Please keep listening to the announcements for additional details.

Athletic News:

Girls Modified Basketball improved their record to 4-1 with a big win over Utica Academy of Science 39-15. Chloe “True Grit” Gridley scored 12 points followed by “I’m on” Fyre Youngs with 9 points. Annalee “Do the Dew” Shoemaker had 5 points. Skye “High” Nelson had 4 points. Also scoring for the team were Zaida Ostrander, Kiley White, Valeria Sandoval, Evelyn Fox, Ivy Snyder, and Ella Pretre. Great game ladies! Game today, the bus leaves at 2:30.

Last night, the boys' varsity basketball team had a dominant victory over Westmoreland, 108-27, improving their record to 12-5. Every player on the team scored, with five reaching double figures. The team plays again tonight at home at 5 p.m. against Sauquoit. Come out to support and celebrate our seniors: Drew Baker, Teddy Freeth, Colin Olsen, and Bryce Wright.
