Athletic News:
The 8th grade boys basketball team defeated Westmoreland 44-18 last night to improve to 7-2 on the season. Juilius Smith led all scorers with 13 points, getting red hot in the second quarter and dropping 11. Alex Oney added 10 and Isaac Alfonso 6 of his own to pace the scoring on the night. Nearly everyone else added in a bucket of their own. The team played an excellent defensive game, never allowing more than 5 points in a quarter. Great win boys!
The 7th grade boys basketball team improved to 8-1 on the year with a victory vs. Westmoreland last night. Brent Baker led the way on the offensive end scoring 10, while Charlie George (5), Louie Child (4), Lukas Sirtoli and Thomas Jackson (2) added big baskets. The defensive end was the difference again as the team held Westmoreland’s 2 best scorers to single digit games.
Great way to head into the Mid-Winter Break, but pick up a basketball over the week, we still have 4 games remaining when we return!
The Varsity Girls Basketball team finished the regular season last night with a 56-40 victory over Dolgeville. Leading HCS was Logan Langel with 15 points Reagan Hope with 12 and Chloe LaFrance with 12. With the win the team finishes with a 17-3 record and secured a number one seed in the class C postseason tournament. Congratulations.!
The JV boys basketball team played an outstanding, nail biting game against Cooperstown last night and won 41-39. Congratulations boys!
