There will be a VERY brief middle school student council meeting today at lunch. We will have our yearbook picture taken so please come right to room 110. Do not go to lunch. You will go to lunch right after the picture has been taken.

Attention juniors and seniors: today is your last chance to fill out the Google Form regarding prom shared in your Google Classrooms. Additionally, the junior class is working with the Cazenovia Public Library to hold a prom dress, suit and accessory giveaway during lunch on Monday, March 3rd in the main hallway. Please stop by and check out the available items! Please see Miss King or Mrs. Amir with questions.

Chess Club will meet after school today in Mr. Jones’ room (#214). Please make sure you sign up for the late bus if you need a ride afterward!

The Mathletics Club photo will be taken THIS THURSDAY (aka tomorrow) right after forum outside of the HS office! If you’re in Mathletics, please be there!

All members of Art Club, please meet outside of the auditorium RIGHT AFTER forum TODAY for a quick yearbook photo!

Reminder to juniors and seniors attending the NYC field trip, there is a MANDATORY meeting after school tomorrow, Thursday, February 27th for fundraising. Please meet in the high school art room after school!

Ski Club is after school TODAY! Be prepared to load the bus by 3pm!

Counseling News:

Attention 9th, 10th and 11th grade students: Are you interested in a BOCES program next year? Stop by the Counseling Center to schedule a half-day visit to explore your program of interest! Sign up by Friday for visits scheduled for March 3–7.

The Pre-ACT is being offered to interested sophomores on the morning of Wednesday, April 2nd. Interested students should sign up in the counseling center by March 26, 2025. This is a firm deadline to allow for test administration preparation. The fee is $19 cash, check or money orders payable to HCS. If you are eligible for a fee waiver, please see Mrs. Poyer.

Attention High School Students: registration is now open for the Colgate High School Seminar Spring Session IV. See ParentSquare or stop by the Counseling Office for more information. Registration is due by Monday, March 17th.

Athletic News:

The Modified Girls basketball team avenged an earlier loss this season and beat the undefeated Cooperstown team 29-27. Leading the way was Chloe Gridley with 15 points, followed by Annalee Shoemaker and Ivy Snyder each with 4 points. Rounding out the scoring was Valeria Sandoval, Ally Catania, & Ella Pretre with 2 points each. Great defensive effort was put in by the team to pull out the win. Great win ladies!

The 8th grade boys basketball team avenged one of their only losses on the season last night against Canastota, winning by a score of 32-22 to improve to 8-2 on the season. Alex Oney led the scoring with 10 with Liam Darrow adding 8 of his own. Alec Toomath also had 4, while 5 other players pitched in 2. The team had their best defensive effort of the season, holding Canastota’s best player to only 5 points. Outstanding win boys! Practice today at 3:00.

The 7th grade boys basketball team picked up their 9th win of the season yesterday with a 14 point win over Canastota. Defense was the name of the game again, holding their opponent to 4 points in the 2nd half. Louie Child led the way with 10 points on excellent passing from Charlie George and Brent Baker who added 8 and 4 points too. Lucas Sirtoli (2) and Neel Davray (2) rounded out the scoring while Thomas Jackson played excellent all around basketball. Way to shake off the rust of mid-winter break.
