Reminder that hats should be removed as students enter Forum. This was part of the agreement established between students and the district years ago. Prior to this agreement, hats were not allowed anywhere on campus.

Jazz Band will meet after school today until 3:30

There is a Senior Class meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5th during lunch in room 117. All seniors should plan on attending, especially if you want to express an opinion on our class trip.

Language club members are invited to Miss King’s room during lunch this week to participate in our Música de Marzo bracket. You can listen to the daily song matchups and vote!

High School Tech Club meets today during HS lunch in Room 218.

There is a junior FFA meeting Wednesday during MS lunch in Mrs. Chamberlain’s room. ALL FFA members MUST attend (Jr. & Sr.) as we will be taking the yearbook photo.

Attention tennis players: there will be a meeting after school today in Mr. Jones’ room if you are interested in playing varsity tennis this spring.

Middle School Chorus and High School Chorus should report to the Auditorium for class with a charged chromebook and headphones. Any Chorus students who are in Band or Orchestra should report to those rehearsals today.

Counseling News:

The Pre-ACT is being offered to sophomores on the morning of Wednesday, April 2nd. Interested students should sign up in the counseling center by March 26, 2025. This is a firm deadline to allow for test administration preparation. The fee is $19 cash, check or money orders payable to HCS. If you are eligible for a fee waiver, please see Mrs. Poyer.

Attention 9th, 10th and 11th grade students: Are you interested in a BOCES program next year? Stop by the Counseling Center to schedule a half-day visit to explore your program of interest! Friday is the last day to sign up for visits next week!

Hey Juniors! This is a friendly reminder that you have until Thursday, March 20th at noon to complete the Google Form published by Mrs. Poyer. This form is used to nominate juniors for college scholarship awards which will be presented at our high school awards ceremony in early June. If you want to be considered for a nomination, you must complete the form by the deadline - no exceptions. Please see Mrs. Poyer if you have any questions. Athletic News:

Last night the boys varsity basketball team fought hard in a 67-49 defeat to Cooperstown in the Section III Class C semi-final game. Leading the scoring for the Knights was Teddy Freeth with 15 points, Drew Baker for 12, and Caleb Neuenschwander adding 11. The team ends their season with a record of 16-7. Congratulations on a successful season and a special thank you to the Seniors.

The Girls Modified team ended their 4 games in a row stretch with a win 38-18 at Waterville yesterday. Leading the way with scoring was Chloe Gridley with 10 points, Zaida Ostrander with 7 points, Annalee Shoemaker & Ivy Snyder each with 6 points, Ally Catalina with 4 points, Fyre Youngs with 3 points, and Lakoda Sabine with 2 points. Last game of the season is Thursday at home at 4:30.

The 8th grade boys basketball team beat Morrisville-Eaton 44-32 last night to improve to 10-2 on the season. Liam Darrow led all scorers with 13 points, hitting three straight 3's in the fourth quarter to stretch the lead to 19. Nolan Dunlay hit his season high with 10, followed by Alex Oney with 8, Julius Smith with 6, Reece Mosher and Alec Toomath with 4, and Ryan Houck with 2. The team plays again today at Waterville. Great win boys.

The 7th grade boys basketball team picked up win #10 with a 17 point victory vs. Morrisville-Eaton. Great teamwork allowed 8 players to score with Lukas Sirtoli leading the way with 10, Thomas Jackson (6), Wes Penoyer (5), Louie Child & Brent Baker (4), and Jason Fall, Bentley Britton and Owen Mullenax (2). Great rebounding by Tian Xing Zheng kept Morrisville from any 2nd chance shots. Today’s game @ Waterville Elementary will begin at 4pm.
