The Friends of HCS Music are volunteer parents, guardians, community members, and a student treasurer who contribute time or resources (or both) to support the music programs for Hamilton Central School students.
In response to requests from the HCS music teachers, we provide financial aid for students to participate in music events and competitions; purchase music and sound equipment; repair instruments; generate seed funds for new musical initiatives; offer numerous music awards and a scholarship at graduation, and more.
Examples of our past funding projects have included:
- New microphones for musical and theatrical productions
- Coach bus travel for students to participate in a music festival at Darien Lake
- Snare drum stand
- Singers’ masks (PPE) for chorus students
- 30 ukuleles for new after-school ukulele club
- Numerous instrument repairs and instrument maintenance costs
Please consider making a donation to support the music programs at HCS. Your gift will go a long way in our community, and we look forward to saying hello to you in person at an HCS concert!
Contributions may be sent to Friends of HCS Music, 47 W. Kendrick Ave., Hamilton, NY 13346. Friends of HCS Music is a school club, and donations are not tax deductible. Please consult with your tax advisor for specific information.
